How to host the best bachelor's party in Singapore

While Singapore is an ideal destination to have a wedding, it is equally great for hosting bachelor parties or stag weekends! If you are the best man or one of the groomsmen who have been tasked with organising one, fear not because you have plenty of options to choose from. However, as with most things, some proper planning is required; here are some tips to help you get started.

Make the Guest List

Remember, that apart from the guys in the bridal party, you may also need to include some of the groom's other close friends. If it's going to be a surprise party, you can ask the bride if there are any people her husband-to-be may want to invite. Once you have all the names, it will be easier to make a group chat so you can inform people of the event details.

Set the Date

Setting the date is easier said than done. The more people involved, the greater the possibility that someone or other may not be able to make it on a certain day. Ask those who will be attending what dates they are free and choose a day when the majority can come. Also, check ahead if any wedding-related activities are taking place on the day which the groom will have to attend. Don't leave it too close to the wedding day either since the groom has to be well rested too!

Plan the Budget

It is a good idea to have a budget in mind in the planning stage. This can include everything from the cost for food, drinks and gifts for the groom to venue hire for private events at the best luxury hotel in Singapore. Ideally, you can ask those attending what their maximum budgets are, so you will have an idea of how much to spend. Also factor in costs for the groom; while he may want to contribute, it is a nice gesture if you can pay for him.

Prepare the Itinerary

A typical bachelor party in Singapore doesn't only have to be about drinking the night away! There are plenty of activities that you can plan; options include paintballing at Red Dynasty Paintball Park, go-karting at The Karting Arena and hitting the greens at the Champions Public Golf Course. When night falls, you can head to the nightlife hotspot Clarke Quay, walking distance from properties like Grand Park City Hall; it has plenty of bars and pubs to visit as well as nightclubs such as Zouk Singapore.

Divide the Workload

With so much to plan, it can get overwhelming sometimes and it would be a good idea to divide some of the responsibilities and tasks. While you can be the main coordinator, delegate tasks like venue bookings, transport arrangements and buying any gifts for the groom or party favours for those attending. You will need to regularly follow up and check if everything is on track to ensure all bases are covered as the day of the bachelor party draws nearer.

Have Responsible Fun

Last and by no means least, ensure that you have fun but not at anyone's expense or risking personal safety; the bachelor party should not end up like the one in the Hangover movie! Additionally, make sure everyone is comfortable with the proposed activities and if some have concerns be it in regards to health or religion, it may be better to plan something else to do.
