How to organise your wedding in Singapore amidst the pandemic

A wedding is a special day where a new life begins for two people. Here's how you can work things around your big day if you have planned for your wedding during this pandemic COVID-19 period.

Keeping up with social distancing
Ever since the pandemic began, safe distancing measures have been taken to reduce the spread of the virus. This has been strictly followed in Singapore, even after the circuit breaker lockdown was lifted in June.
Safe distancing would mean keeping one metre's distance from one another, checking the temperature upon entry into a building, and washing your hands. This makes things much harder for a wedding reception to take place. Guests will have to be reduced down to a minimum to adhere to government regulations.

Virtual weddings are in!
If couples haven't already spent on venues, food, and décor for a physical wedding there is an easier option. For those who don't plan on waiting for COVID19 safety measures to be lifted to have a proper physical wedding, virtual weddings have become the option to go. In accordance with the Temporary Measures for Solemnisation and Registration of Marriages Bill, Solemnisers now have the authority to conduct marriages on a virtual platform.
These virtual weddings might even remain after safety measures have been lifted. You can host them on hangouts or even Zoom calls.

Hosting a physical wedding
Virtual weddings are contradictory to the whole wedding experience that a couple would look forward to going through together. Therefore, if you prefer a physical wedding, after all, try looking out for a Singapore hotel promotion that best suits your needs and budget. Hotels such as Grand Park Orchard provides beautiful and spacious venues. However, try to keep your guest list to a bare minimum in order to comply with safety measures.
