How to Relax in Thailand

Thailand can be thought to be a contradiction. Calm beaches boasting stretches of soft sands and azure waters washing against the shores is one part of it. Hardcore nightlife with loud DJ music, drinks and bodies everywhere grooving to the beats under the disco lights is another. Here are a few ways to relax with a bit of party and a bit of beach in Thailand.

Ultimate relaxation at Bottle Beach

One of the best places to visit in Thailand for a relaxing holiday would be Koh Phangan. Yes, this place is popular for Full Moon Parties, but that's not all. Towards the northern part of the island is one of the best hideaways in the country which once served as a place that sheltered pirates. But no need to fear, now the place has been transformed into a true haven with several resorts and restaurants ready to cater to your needs. Grab a good book and relax on a hammock in the shade or pick the wetter option and go for a swim in the calm waters.

Haad Rin Beach

Once you've spent the whole day relaxing, it's time to release all that saved energy with a session of partying on the beach. Come dusk and the DJ music begins to blare out of the HD speakers. The Party-goers paradise indeed! The music is the only thing you are going to hear and people dancing with drinks in hand is what you'll see at every corner of the beach. At sunrise, you'll see the remnants of the rockin' party the previous night with passed out party animals and litter on the shores.

Tubkaak Beach for some adventure

Lazing around is not the only way to relax and that's why Tubkaak Beach offers another option. If you like to hike, then follow the hiking trails that lead to the jungles where pretty waterfalls are hidden amongst the greens. Once you are done exploring nature, hit the beach for the sunset. This beach located in the north of Krabi is covered in white sands and shallow waters. Hammocks hang from trees giving plenty of shade. If you are travelling with your significant other, this certainly is a wonderfully romantic spot for the evening.

Party in Patong

Yes, another party destination, Patong is situated in Phuket towards the west of Thailand. You can party all night long on the beach or you could hop into the Go-go bars for a different experience in the sleazy part of the city.

Camp in paradise

How about taking a break from the parties and the adrenaline and oxytocin rushes from the above destinations and making your way into true tranquillity. No wifi, no loud music, no bars or pubs and no resorts either. Yes...Koh Lao Liang is more or less an abandoned island that is located in the premises of a national park in Thailand. It is just a short ferry ride away from Koh Phi Phi and is definitely a paradise you need to visit. The beaches are untouched here, there aren't any buildings whatsoever and you've got to camp out at the beach for the night. Only a maximum of 50 people is allowed on the island in order to protect the eco-system here.

City bliss

The beaches aren't the only places that offer some relaxation in Thailand. The cities are also equipped with entertainment options to help you unwind and forget the world outside. Sukhumvit in Bangkok is an urban area indeed. But there are a few amazing shopping malls, restaurants, clubs and even luxury hotels. Sukhumvit hotels in Thailand offer great packages to help you unwind. Check out places like Maitria Hotels & Residences for deals on the spa and much more for a relaxed city experience.
